Canal and River Trust
The Canal and River Trust acts as the guardian of British Waterways canals, rivers, reservoirs and docks across England and Wales.
The brief was to create a social media film to launch The Ring, a new arts programme that celebrates the circle of natural and historic waterways within the Droitwich and Worcester area.
The film needed to coincide with a digital marketing campaign promoting the programme.
We built the core of the film around the people involved in the project, conducting informal interviews with the organisers, the artists, those receiving the commissions and members of the local communities.
This helped to explain what the programme is all about, the benefits to the communities engaging with and supporting The Ring, and a clear call to arms.
The interviews were supported by striking visuals of the key locations and activities. We captured aerial shots, timelapses and creative camera movements over a number of days around the waterways of the Droitwich and Worcester area, using our DJI Mavic to gather cinematic shots and photography that gave a real sense of perspective across the canals.
Together, the content and structured interviews reinforced the core message, built brand awareness and kept the film engaging throughout.
We delivered a social media film around five minutes in length, along with a number of shorter edits tailored to different social media platforms.
